The surprise guest of the evening was actor Malcolm McDowell from A Clockwork Orange! It was a rare moment to see two iconic members of Stanley Kubrick's movies on stage together, Alex and Dave. (Left image: Vivian Kubrick and Malcolm McDowell.)

After the program, Ventimiglia and I went to the side of the stage to greet the stars. Ritcher left early but I was able to meet McDowell and Dullea. After 40 years, Squirt finally got her Bush Baby as Ventimiglia gave Vivian Kubrick a toy version of the Bush Baby. And he received a generous collection of autographs for us. Vivian Kubrick played Heywood Floyd's 6-year old daughter in 2001 and she asks her dad that she wanted a Bush Baby for her birthday. Also called galago, they are gray, brown, or reddish to yellowish brown, with large eyes and ears, long hind legs, soft, woolly fur, and long tails. The Bush Baby was never shown in the movie but was available for a scene (Left image: Macys' sales clerk, Marcella Markham and Bush Baby from 2001).
