EDUCATION DAY, APRIL 9, 2010 - During lunch, I had a brief walk through on Education Day, which featured a festival of innovative learning in the areas of science, technology, engineering
and mathematics, geared specifically to youth groups between the 4th grade and high school. This gave me a preview of many of the science and technology displayed in Hangar 211 that will be at the second day of Yuri's Night. This type of engagement with young adults and teens is what education should be about with hands on demonstrations, meeting scientists, and astronauts. What I seen all around me was enthusiastic curiosity from kids, students and their adult guardians. I hope Education Day inspired the next generation of scientists and educators and for all I know, I might had met the first human beings that will go to Mars one day. To me, this is exactly what Yuriís Night Bay Area is about.
But the real fun for me would be the second day of Yuri's Night! - Dennis Gonzales, 2010.
