Space:1999 Radio Show and 2001 Exhibit: KFJC thanks you for listening. Robert Emmett and I were amazed how the interview was smooth and how exciting to hear Nick Tate discussed his place in Space:1999 and his career in voice-overs. He is a very funny guy. Pat Paulsen is happy about the broadcast and hopes it will do some good to get things going. Nick Tate is also happy to hear the fans will be listening to him this morning. He is a delightful person to talk to and says (off the air) even though over the years Space:1999 fandom has never really been a cohesive group; he is always there to support the conventions because he knows how important it is for the fans. That in a nutshell is what Mr. Tate is all about. The station would to like me get interviews from the cast and crew of Space:1999, convention staff and fans for another on-the-air / Internet broadcast sometime this month with more piano music of the late great Barry Gray. We got a lot of phone calls after the show. More updates when the next radio / Internet show. If anyone would like a copy of the show, please send me two dollars for a tape/postage or just send me a 60-minute tape with one dollar for postage and I be happy to make one for you. I'll try posting sound bytes of the interview on the Net later next week. Coming in November is the 2001: A Space Odyssey Collectible Exhibit, San Mateo California, Nov. 1-30, 1999 with a radio/Internet show with some very special surprises! As we all know, Space:1999 was heavily influenced from Kubrick's science-fiction film. This exhibit should be a wide eyes open event. For further details, go to: http://www.2001exhibit.org.
