| May 8, 2002: Greetings from Dennis Gonzales
Website Update: The May World Tonight news updated in our Press section: The past few years, I’ve received many pictures, technical drawings and film resources on HAL from many "2001" fans. I’ve even managed to get the real HAL to the Tech Museum for all to enjoy. Since I’ve been involved with the exhibition campaign, I noticed through my email and phone calls that HAL is the most celebrated movie icon from "2001" and perhaps film history in every topic. He over shadows the Monolith by light years, which I do not understand. To me, HAL is just calculator compare to the mysterious black monolith but yet he is the focus of many movie reviews and chat rooms.
Two weekends ago, I experience a family crises which set me back from my plans like the Dr. Greer talk at the New Age Expo in San Francisco and updating the technical blueprints on the website. I’m back on track and hope to continue the work I started over a month ago with many of the "2001/2010" fans. See you next Wednesday (Frank). I’m looking for talented model makers and digital artists to help me design and build spaceships and other technology from Sir Arthur C. Clarke’s "2061" and "3001" books. The request is part of my campaign to convince moviemakers the importance of bringing the books to the big screen. And using this website is a palette in behalf of Sir Arthur C. Clarke. For more information, please contact me. THE WEBBY AWARDS REPORT: 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY COLLECTIBLES EXHIBIT.
