March 26, 2003:

Greetings from Dennis Gonzales

As the war continues in the Middle East, we hope for a quick resolution for peace of all Mankind. In the meantime, we’ll continue to pursue the exploration of space and the unknown on the World Tonight.
This is the 40th issue of the World Tonight in our 4-year run. The newsletter originally started out as a "Space:1999" newsletter since that was my first exhibit. But the long-term goal was to organized a "2001: A Space Odyssey" exhibit in honor of the creators and fans. When the "Space:1999" exhibit became a success, the "Space:1999" newsletter was morphed into what it is today. I want to thank the fans for contributing to the newsletter and website. There is no possible way for me to provide the quality of information without your help. Just doing a bimonthly newsletter takes approximately a full day. Please continue to send your contributions and I’ll continue to run the World Tonight:

"2001" fan Robert Carey has come to the rescue by hosting nearly all of our movies and radio shows on his friend’s web server. This has relieved the astronomical costs to pay for our website and given us a chance to expand. Thank you Robert for keeping "2001: A Space Odyssey Collectible Exhibit" alive. Look out for new movie clips in the next couple of months!

    2001" Cell Phone ring tones:
I admit I would use a "2001" tone. I recently surfed the net on hundreds of websites with a version of "2001" and many other TV and film soundtracks. Below are a few URLs to check out -

Dana Lubich reports to the World Tonight about rocket launchers:
Here's a little something that makes you ask just why there aren't more rocket launches in the world today:
    http://www.astronautix.com/articles/arosaway.htm.

Unfortunately, the only rockets launching in the next few days and weeks may be ground to ground in the Middle East...
